LaSalle Network has partnered with an information technology manufacturing company that is looking for a Systems Administrator to join the team. This individual is going to assist in the management, configuration and operation of both computer systems and servers. This is a contract-to-hire position and requires the ability to be on-site in Schaumburg, IL.
Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the integrity of operating system/ backup environments and various computer systems
- Ensure optimal performance and reliability of all physical and virtual servers
- Perform systems maintenance tasks including backups, recovery and file maintenance to ensure uptime and efficiency
- Maintain network infrastructure across multiple locations for connectivity and security
- Implement and manage network security measures
- Install and test software upgrades and computer components
- Resolve technical issues and configure software
- Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, procedures and troubleshooting procedures
- Administer server tasks such as user/group permissions, security and print services
- Monitor data center health, respond to hardware issues and assist with building and maintaining new servers
- Manage internal infrastructure requirements including laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones and network segments
Systems Administrator Requirements:
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex technical issues
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
- Proficiency in managing network infrastructure and security solutions
- Experience with endpoint management tools, Azure environments and Microsoft 365 services
- Familiarity with CrowdStrike or similar endpoint security solutions
- Experience in creating and managing fault-tolerant infrastructure
